Ancestry Kits

On Relative Race four teams take a 10-day journey across the country to discover new relatives and compete for a $50,000 grand prize. For many of the contestants that have competed on the eight season of this show thus far, the experience has been profound and life changing. Many have met parents or siblings for the first time, and have had some of their most important questions answered.

To promote the show we teamed up with seven different YouTube influencers, and worked with professional genealogists to help them discover more about their own families. Based on the genealogists’ discoveries, we designed personalized ancestry kits, filled with items that helped unfold the story of a key ancestor. Included in the kits were carefully researched ancestry profile books, filled with photos, facts, documents, and maps to help them get to know their ancestors more deeply.
